Trafalgar Place is a landmark office building situated in the centre of Brighton, next to the city’s main train station.

The estate includes extensive underground car and cycle parking spaces, a large internal landscaped courtyard and other facilities. To the south, in the adjoining Villiers Court building, is a parade of retail and commercial units along Trafalgar Street including a handful of residential units.

The site is controlled by Schroders Capital, who are developing a Masterplan to improve the quality of the buildings and surroundings, with the objective of improving Trafalgar Place as a destination workplace; retaining existing businesses and attracting new enterprises to Brighton.

Our ambition is to bring forward a unique, vibrant, and aspirational modern workplace environment in the heart of
Brighton.

The Masterplan

The Masterplan proposes a comprehensive refurbishment of the office environments, delivering fresh and exciting workplaces with new environmentally efficient systems.

The project includes upgrades to lobbies, creation of new shared spaces and collaboration areas, along with new facilities including on-site gym, well-being spaces and sustainable transport platforms in the form of EV charge points and cycle facilities.

A landscape upgrade project along with wider building and façade upgrades is also part of the strategy.

Key to the vision of the project is the creation of new, unique office space in the form of rooftop extensions above the four central campus buildings: Napier House, Lanchester House, Invicta House and Mocatta House.

Our masterplan for the site will not be subject to a planning application, although we would be interested in any thoughts or comments you may have on this.
